Driveway Vehicle Solutions wins Scutum fleet contract

Driveway Vehicle Solutions has secured a fleet management and rental contract with Scutum Fire & Security, beginning with an initial order for 57 Nissan Primastar vans.

The vehicles are due to be delivered this month, with further orders expected before the end of 2026 as Scutum expands its operations. The fire, safety and security specialist currently operates a fleet of more than 320 vehicles and is targeting further growth over the next 12 to 18 months.

Under the agreement, Driveway Vehicle Solutions, the fleet and leasing arm of Lithia UK, will provide fleet management alongside rental services to support Scutum’s engineers and wider operations.

The rental provision will give Scutum access to replacement or additional vehicles when required, providing flexibility as its fleet requirements change and helping to minimise vehicle downtime.

The agreement follows a business development process between the two companies and sees Scutum transition from its previous fleet provider.

The contract represents the latest expansion for Driveway Vehicle Solutions during 2026. In April, the business acquired Bromsgrove-based contract hire and leasing company Agility Fleet, adding more than 1,200 vehicles to its managed fleet as it works towards a longer-term target of 20,000 vehicles.

More recently, Driveway Vehicle Solutions supported logistics company DragonSea with the addition of 37 Farizon SV electric vans to its UK fleet.

The developments follow the business’s rebrand from Pendragon Vehicle Management earlier this year under Lithia UK.
