Allane and DEKRA expand vehicle return network across Germany

Share

Allane Mobility Group and DEKRA have expanded their network of leasing vehicle return locations in Germany from ten to 26 following a pilot programme launched in 2025.

The partnership allows Allane customers to return leased vehicles and have their condition assessed by DEKRA during a single appointment, with further locations planned as the companies extend the service across Germany.

The 26 return stations now cover major metropolitan and economic areas including Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart.

Around four to six weeks before the end of a leasing contract, customers receive an email containing a link to arrange an appointment. At the DEKRA location, the vehicle undergoes a condition assessment by DEKRA experts before the return process is completed, including handing over the vehicle registration document.

Steffen Hohn, Department Head Lease End at Allane Mobility Group, said: “With now 26 DEKRA locations nationwide, we offer the majority of our customers a return option close to home – and the network continues to grow.

“For us, service quality does not end with the last leasing instalment: the return should also be as smooth and trustworthy for our customers as any other station in their leasing experience.”

The expansion follows the introduction of the joint return and inspection service at ten DEKRA locations during 2025.

Allane and DEKRA said they intend to add further cities and regions to the network, increasing the number of customers able to return vehicles at a location closer to them.

The current network comprises locations in Aachen, Berlin, Bielefeld, Bremen, Chemnitz, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Erfurt, Frankfurt, Freiburg, Hamburg, Hanover, Karlsruhe, Kassel, Cologne, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Mannheim, Munich, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Rostock, Saarbrücken, Stuttgart, Ulm and Würzburg.
