Shire Leasing appoints Darren Fletcher as Sales Director

Shire Leasing PLC has announced the promotion of Darren Fletcher to Sales Director, marking a significant milestone in his 20-year career with the company.

Darren Fletcher began his journey with Shire Leasing in September 2004 as a Business and Administration Apprentice. Over the past two decades, he has steadily risen through a variety of roles, most recently serving as Supplier Sales Director. In that role, he demonstrated strong leadership, commercial expertise, and a deep understanding of the company’s operations.

In his new position, Fletcher will lead Shire’s sales strategy, manage a dynamic team dedicated to delivering innovative finance solutions, and work closely with the Board to achieve the company’s long-term goals.

Reflecting on his promotion, Fletcher said: “After 20 years of service and shared success at Shire Leasing PLC, I’m honoured to step into the role of Sales Director. I’m excited to lead our talented team into our next chapter, continuing to build strong client relationships and drive results. Sharon leaves big shoes to step into and I am grateful to her for the development and wisdom she has offered me to make me ready for this opportunity.”

Darren Fletcher succeeds Sharon Price, who is retiring after a 32-year career with the company, including 14 years as Sales Director.

Under Sharon Price’s leadership, Shire’s sales operations achieved substantial growth and developed a strong, scalable sales structure that has been instrumental in the company’s market penetration and long-term success.

Price commented: “I am so pleased for Darren. He has worked tirelessly to not only develop his sales teams but also himself. After 32 years here, I am confident in passing the baton on to Darren.
