Ground transportation technology and services provider, FOD Mobility Group, has signed a five-year contract extension with the RAC to continue powering the organisation’s Business Club platform through its bespoke GT Suite SaaS technology.

The collaboration between the two companies began in 2012, when FOD developed a customised version of its GT Suite platform to support the launch of RAC Business Club in 2013. Designed as a free fleet management tool for RAC’s business customers, the platform allows users to manage vehicles and drivers via a fully configurable self-service interface.

Over the years, the platform has evolved significantly, integrating a wide range of services and suppliers. These include tyre replacement via ATS, servicing and repairs through the RAC Approved Garage Network, windscreen repairs with Autoglass, vehicle leasing, insurance cover, licence checking, and automated alerts. Business Club also offers an onward travel service that enables customers to book hire cars and taxis directly through the platform if their vehicles break down and cannot be repaired immediately.

Customers access the platform through a Customer User Interface (CUI), while RAC employees manage bookings, payments, and reporting via a dedicated Operator User Interface (OUI).

“We are delighted that GT Suite will continue to power the RAC Business Club platform for another five years,” said Matt Heald, Interim CEO/COO of FOD Mobility Group. “This extended agreement further strengthens the longstanding collaboration between our two companies and underlines our position as a trusted and reliable provider of bespoke ground transportation technology and services.”

Helen Smith, RAC’s Head of Product & Consumer Duty, added: “FOD has provided the technology and expertise to support our operations since the launch of our Business Club platform over 12 years ago. Since that time, we have seen significant growth in the number of customers who rely on the system to keep their business moving, in addition to a host of new services, functionality and supplier integrations.

“This important contract renewal reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers, and we look forward to continuing the future development and evolution of our Business Club service, with FOD by our side.”
