Receivables Finance News Leumi ABL lends £7.75m to Prime Light for strategic acquisition Published: 5th September 2025 Share Leumi ABL has announced the completion of a £7.75 million Asset-Based Lending (ABL) debt facility to support Prime Light Electrical, a specialist provider of lighting components solutions, in its acquisition of Emergency Lighting Products (ELP) from Jordan Reflectors. The funding package, which includes both Receivables and Term Loan facilities, has enabled Prime Light to complete the carve-out acquisition as part of its accelerated growth strategy. The transaction, backed by Bay Tree Private Equity, combines two leading names in the lighting industry and positions the newly formed group for substantial expansion. Prime Light’s extensive portfolio – spanning LEDs, drivers, control gear, and smart lighting systems – will be strengthened by ELP’s 30 years of expertise in emergency lighting technology, enhancing innovation and creating broader, integrated product offerings. The merger is also expected to unlock significant cross-selling opportunities. This latest deal builds on the long-standing relationship between Leumi ABL and Prime Light, which began in 2023 when Leumi ABL supported the company with multi-million-pound refinancing facilities. Rowley Brown, CFO of Prime Light, said: “With ambitious plans at Prime Light, we are delighted to have worked with Leumi ABL on the acquisition of ELP. ELP is a strong business with significant potential, and we see considerable opportunities ahead for the joint entity. It was a seamless process to build upon the already strong relationship we previously developed with Leumi ABL, and we look forward to their continued input and support.” David Wingfield, Founder and Partner at Bay Tree Private Equity, added: “It was essential that the Leumi ABL facilities provided both flexibility and certainty to support our transaction while also meeting ongoing cashflow requirements. “Prime Light and ELP will now provide an unparalleled market offering with ambitious plans for expansion over the next phase of development.” Martin Risman, Regional Sales Director at Leumi ABL, commented: “The Leumi ABL team is very happy with the combined strength and potential of Prime Light and ELP, and we are delighted to support their integration. “It has been a pleasure working once again with such an excellent Sponsor and management team. Prime Light and Bay Tree have a clear vision for ELP which gives us great confidence in the new Group’s growth ambitions, and we look forward to seeing them deliver on these objectives.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories NewsArbuthnot Commercial ABL backs UK battery storage leader NewsWhite Oak provides $35m ABL facility to Unicat Corporate Member NewsUltimate Finance supports telecoms firm with £350k invoice finance facility Receivables Finance
