Rabobank has confirmed the reappointment of Stefaan Decraene as Chair of the Managing Board for a new four-year term, effective January 1, 2026.

The decision, announced a year ahead of schedule, underscores the Supervisory Board’s confidence in Decraene’s leadership and its intent to ensure continuity at the top of the cooperative bank.

Decraene, who joined Rabobank’s Managing Board in 2023, has been credited with strengthening organisational performance while reinforcing the bank’s cooperative identity. Under his tenure, the bank has focused on enhancing internal alignment, advancing customer-first initiatives, and driving a more results-oriented culture. Rabobank’s Works Council has issued a positive recommendation regarding the reappointment.

“From my very first day, I have felt truly at home at Rabobank,” Decraene said. “It is an outstanding organisation to work for, with highly engaged members, customers, and employees. My ambition is to further strengthen the bank and the cooperative, thereby increasing our societal impact.”

The Supervisory Board highlighted Decraene’s leadership style and strategic vision as key factors in securing his continued role.

“Stefaan is a dedicated leader with a strong focus on the customer and a deep conviction to creating societal impact,” said Marjan Trompetter, Chair of the Supervisory Board. “We are very pleased that he will continue his service to the bank in a new term.”
