Paul Smee appointed as FLA Lending Code Group Chair

The Finance & Leasing Association has appointed Paul Smee as Group Chair of the FLA Lending Code.

Paul has extensive experience in financial services and was most recently Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders from 2011 until 2017, when it was absorbed into UK Finance.

He previously ran the UK Payments Council and the Association of Independent Financial Advisors, and has been a non-executive director of various bodies since 2018, including the Regulator of Social Housing, the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, Money Advice Trust and the Residential Landlords Association.

“His experience and insights, particularly across financial regulation are outstanding and will be much valued by colleagues.”
