CSI Leasing has announced two senior promotions within its in-house legal team.

Alex Kafoury has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel, while Emily Harvatin has been appointed Assistant Vice President and Assistant General Counsel.

Alex Kafoury joined CSI Leasing in 2012 as a corporate attorney specialising in international legal matters.

During his tenure, the company has expanded into an additional 16 countries, with Kafoury playing a key role in integrating many of these markets into CSI’s business operations.

CSI now conducts business in more than 50 countries, and Kafoury continues to provide legal advice and support to its international subsidiaries.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University and a Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s School of Law.

Emily Harvatin joined CSI Leasing in 2023 as a corporate attorney specialising in contract law.

Before joining CSI, she worked as an associate at Newton Barth LLP, where she primarily focused on employment law matters.

Harvatin holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and sociology from the University of Kansas and a Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University School of Law.

Both Kafoury and Harvatin are members of The Missouri Bar and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

Lorraine Cherrick, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at CSI Leasing, commented: “Alex’s in-depth knowledge of international law and Emily’s ability to negotiate terms and conditions that benefit both CSI and our customers are tremendous assets to our in-house legal team.

“They both have an excellent understanding of the leasing industry, which helps our customers navigate complexities and identify opportunities.”
