Lombard appoints Laura Capper as MD for London & South East

Lombard has appointed Laura Capper as Regional Managing Director for London & South East, strengthening the firm’s commitment to supporting business growth and investment across the capital and surrounding regions.

Capper brings nearly 20 years of experience across asset finance and banking, having held a range of senior leadership, commercial and customer-facing roles within Lombard and the wider NatWest Group.

In her new role, she will lead Lombard’s regional strategy across London and the South East, helping businesses access funding and specialist support to invest and grow.

Capper said she was excited to return to Lombard in a leadership role focused on one of the UK’s most economically important regions.

“I’m really excited to be leading Lombard in London & South East,” she said. “I’ve spent much of my career in asset finance, and a significant part of that with Lombard, so returning to the business in this role feels hugely meaningful.

“London & South East is a vital region for the UK economy, home to ambitious and diverse businesses that are central to growth and innovation.

“By combining Lombard’s national scale and market leadership with strong regional insight, disciplined decision making and trusted partnerships, my ambition is for my teams to continue building on their expertise, supporting businesses across this important economic hub with the funding, confidence and support they need to invest for the future.”

Paul Edwards, Managing Director, Lombard and Specialist Businesses, said Capper’s experience across Lombard, NatWest and sector leadership roles would be a major asset to the business.

“Laura was a very successful Relationship Director for Lombard before moving on to lead various strategic projects for the business,” he said.

“Having then taken on the role of sector head for manufacturing and construction at NatWest, she’s developed a wide-ranging perspective on how we can support our customers, both directly and through partnering with relevant industry bodies.

“I’m really looking forward to Laura re-joining the team; her experience and leadership will no doubt be a fantastic asset as we move forward.”
