TLT growth drives expansion in Edinburgh

Share

UK law firm TLT has announced its relocation to a state-of-the-art office at New Clarendon on George Street, Edinburgh, as part of its ongoing investment in Scotland and its ambitious growth strategy.

The move to the newly refurbished fifth-floor office more than doubles TLT’s footprint in the capital, signalling a strong commitment to its growing client base in Scotland, particularly in the future energy and financial services sectors. The new workspace also supports the firm’s strategic focus on corporate, finance, and transaction advisory services.

Designed with flexibility, wellbeing, and sustainability at its core, New Clarendon provides a collaborative environment with features tailored to both hybrid working and inclusivity. The office includes wellbeing spaces, neurodiverse-friendly lighting, adjustable workspaces, and a balcony with views of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. It is part of a low-energy, all-electric building aiming for BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC ‘A’ ratings, and includes extensive cycling facilities to encourage active travel.

This move follows TLT’s recent relocations to Cadworks in Glasgow and Eden in Manchester -two of the UK’s most sustainable office spaces – and supports its net-zero ambitions and hybrid working model, TLT World.

The expansion builds on TLT’s success in Edinburgh, where the firm has advised on high-profile matters such as the Energy Saving Trust partnership with Airbnb, licensing support for major events at Murrayfield Stadium, and multimillion-pound banking transactions, including a £35 million facility for National Timber Group.

TLT has also strengthened its Scottish presence through strategic lateral hires in key sectors, including real estate, litigation, corporate, banking, and energy, adding to its deep bench of legal talent.

John Paul Sheridan, Partner and Scotland Location Head at TLT, said: “Relocating into a larger, fresh, modern and more sustainable workspace in the heart of Edinburgh is a core part of our plans to grow our business in Scotland.

“Corporate, institutional finance, financial services and future energy are significant growth areas for us in Scotland. The growth driven by our relocation will give us greater scope to build on our strengths in this area and firmly position ourselves as industry strategic advisers to these areas.

“Our relocation offers local legal talent the opportunity to come and work for one of the most ambitious and innovative law firms in the country, where people are recognised, valued and rewarded.”
