Time Finance to host second charity football tournament for RNLI

Independent SME lender Time Finance has announced the return of its charity five-a-side football tournament, calling on brokers and industry partners across the UK to take part in support of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Following the success of its inaugural event last year, the tournament will take place on 23 April at Powerleague in Manchester. The event will once again bring together teams from across the lending and broker community for an afternoon of friendly competition, networking and fundraising.

The RNLI was chosen as this year’s charity partner by the Time Finance team, reflecting a personal connection to the organisation following the passing of a colleague who was a strong supporter of the charity.

All proceeds from team entry fees, along with additional fundraising on the day, will be donated directly to the RNLI, which relies on public support to fund its lifesaving operations.

Ed Rimmer, Chief Executive Officer at Time Finance, said the company was delighted to bring the event back for a second year.

“After the incredible response to our first charity football tournament, we’re excited to be bringing the event back for a second time,” he said. “It was fantastic to see so many members of our broker and intermediary community come together to support a great cause, and we’re hoping this next tournament will be even bigger.

The RNLI operates a 24/7 lifesaving service around the UK and Ireland, with the majority of its lifeboat crews made up of volunteers who respond to emergencies year-round.
