Share

Finance Connect is delighted to welcome Resistant AI as its latest associate member, building on the fraud detection specialist’s growing involvement with the Finance Connect community.

The membership follows Resistant AI’s success at the Finance Connect Summer Conference 2026, where it was named Finance Connect Fintech Innovator Award 2026 winner, sponsored by Lendscape. Resistant AI secured the award following a live Dragons’ Den presentation of its AI-powered document fraud detection technology, which demonstrated how lenders can identify increasingly sophisticated digitally manipulated and AI-generated documents.

Resistant AI provides document fraud detection technology designed to help lenders and other financial services businesses verify documents and identify potential fraud during onboarding, underwriting and risk assessment.

Its software can check documents from different sources and languages for signs of fraud and authenticity in seconds. Trained on more than 200 million documents, the technology is designed to identify potentially difficult-to-detect manipulation in materials including bank statements, utility bills and certificates of incorporation.

As an associate member of Finance Connect, Resistant AI will bring its expertise in fraud prevention and artificial intelligence to discussions across the specialist finance community at a time when lenders are increasingly examining how technology can help them combat emerging risks while maintaining efficient customer journeys.

Edward Peck, Founder and CEO of Finance Connect, said: “We are delighted to welcome Resistant AI as an associate member of Finance Connect, building on their successful involvement with our community and well-deserved Fintech Innovator Award win earlier this year.

“Fraud is becoming an increasingly sophisticated and fast-moving challenge for specialist finance providers, making collaboration and knowledge sharing across the industry more important than ever. Resistant AI brings valuable expertise in the practical application of AI to document fraud detection, and we look forward to Martin and the team contributing to conversations around technology, risk and innovation across our community.”

Martin Rehak, CEO of Resistant AI, said: “To outsmart bad actors, specialty lenders must collaborate faster than fraudsters do. We’re proud to join Finance Connect to champion cross-industry collaboration strengthened by shared ideas.”

At the Finance Connect UK Summer Conference, Resistant AI demonstrated how its technology uses an ensemble of AI models to analyse documents in seconds for digital manipulation, AI-generated content, serial fraud and other indicators. The presentation highlighted the growing challenge facing lenders as readily available generative AI tools make fraudulent documents increasingly difficult for human reviewers to identify.

Resistant AI counts Dun & Bradstreet, Payoneer, Close Brothers and PennyMac among its customers. According to the company, organisations using its technology have achieved up to three times less fraud, five times faster review times and a 90% reduction in manual reviews.

The company’s addition to Finance Connect’s associate membership strengthens the community’s expertise around AI, fraud prevention and risk management and provides another opportunity to continue the discussions that began during its award-winning appearance at the Summer Conference.
