Relationship Manager – Development Finance – Birmingham

To £50,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Our client is a well-established and award winning bank who are keen to appoint an experienced Relationship Manager within their Development Finance team.

The successful candidate will:

• Build, manage and deepen relationships with a portfolio of high‑value landlords.
• Provide consistent, proactive support, engaging around maturities, refinancing, additional borrowing and key portfolio events.
• Conduct comprehensive portfolio reviews, considering all loans secured on properties.
• Use maturity insights to identify and recommend opportunities to migrate lending from competitors.
• Work with Operations to deliver efficient, coordinated customer journeys.
• Identify wider opportunities across residential and commercial development, referring to Development Finance where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Intermediaries when needed to support landlord requirements.
• Provide feedback on criteria, pricing and risk to internal stakeholders.
• Partner with Credit and Risk to structure proposals aligned with risk appetite and regulation.
• Share market and customer insights to inform future BTL propositions.
• Maintain accurate records of the portfolio, including pipelines, maturities, outcomes and interactions.
• Ensure all activity supports good customer outcomes and aligns with conduct expectations.
• Represent Paragon’s values and service standards in all customer interactions.
• The successful candidate will be commercially focussed and demonstrate experience managing complex customer portfolios in finance services, property lending, private banking or wealth management.
