Community Looking ahead: AFPA Trust prepares for a BIG 2026 Published: 18th November 2025 Share After a successful year of fundraising and industry-wide networking, the AFPA Trust is already setting its sights on an ambitious calendar of events in 2026. In 2025, the Trust hosted a wide range of activities that combined professional networking with charitable giving. Highlights included the Summer Drinks at Home House, where the asset finance industry came together and raised £10,000 for St Michael’s Hospice, and the BIG Cycle where 18 riders took on the London-to-Paris challenge in aid of a range of charities, raising over £45,000. Over the course of the year, AFPA Trust has supported 30 charities with a total of £100,000 donated, staying true to its mission of helping smaller charities that often struggle to secure the funding they need. And there’s still more to come in 2025. The calendar continues with two much-anticipated events: Festive Drinks at Kitty Hawk on Wednesday 3rd December, an afternoon of networking and seasonal cheer. The 12 Days of AFPA Trust Christmas (8th–19th December), which will once again see charity partners win donations through the daily Santa Randomizer. AFPA Trust Chair Robert Taylor reflected: “The Summer Drinks at Home House showed the very best of what our industry can achieve together – networking, enjoying each other’s company, and raising money for a cause that really matters. “To have supported 30 charities with £100,000 so far in 2025 is remarkable, with more events still to come this year. I cannot thank everyone enough for their support as we strive to put on great events that deliver a tangible social impact through the money we donate.” Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be even bigger, with a packed line-up of flagship events: BIG Darts – 27th January 2026 at Flight Club Victoria. Teams can register interest to take part. International Women’s Day Lunch – 4th March 2026 at the prestigious Royal and Overseas League Club, Green Park. Always a sell-out, the only way to guarantee a table is by being an AFPA Trust Charity Partner (contact Robert Taylor for details). BIG Quiz – 14th May 2026 at the Royal and Overseas League Club. A chance to compete for around £20,000 in charity donations and the coveted Rivermore Trophy. BIG Cycle – 25th–28th June 2026 from London to Amsterdam. BIG Golf –23rd July 2026 at The Berkshire. A popular event where teams and individuals compete while raising substantial sums for their chosen charities (contact Matt Chambers for details). In addition to events, AFPA Trust continues to encourage people to get more involved: Becoming an AFPA Trust Personal Member gives individuals the opportunity to submit grant requests for charities they support. Those keen to play a more active role can step up as an AFPA Trust Ambassador or Trustee, helping expand the Trust’s impact across the industry. With momentum building from 2025’s successes, AFPA Trust’s 2026 programme promises to bring the asset finance community together again – championing connection, collaboration, and charitable giving.
