Equipment Finance Sponsored by Equipment Finance News Commercial Capital reports record first-half equipment finance originations Published: 17th July 2026 Share Commercial Capital Company has reported the strongest first-half performance in its history, with record equipment finance originations of $128 million during the first six months of 2026. The result was driven by a record-breaking second quarter, in which the company originated $69 million in new finance volume – the highest quarterly production in its history. The first-half performance represents a 15.3% year-on-year increase from the $111 million originated during the same period in 2025, outperforming the wider equipment finance market. According to the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s (ELFA) May 2026 CapEx Finance Index, industry new business volume increased by 11.5% over the same period. Seth Seely, Vice President of Finance and Credit at Commercial Capital, said the company’s performance reflected a disciplined approach to growth. “Our performance reflects a disciplined approach to growth,” he said. “We’ve made strategic investments in our credit and capital markets teams while continuing to strengthen portfolio management and refine our underwriting practices. “Those investments have strengthened our ability to grow responsibly and deliver sustainable value for our customers and funding partners.” The company also highlighted the strength of its customer relationships, with repeat customers accounting for nearly half of all equipment finance volume during the first half of the year.
