Foundry Capital has appointed Adam Bradbury as Business Development Director for the North, strengthening its origination team as the specialist defence finance lender expands its presence across the UK defence supply chain.

Bradbury joins Foundry with 15 years’ experience in commercial finance and asset-based lending. He will work alongside Neil Jones and Martin Yates as part of the firm’s origination team, supporting the growth of the business as it builds its lending platform.

Foundry Capital is a specialist lender focused on the European defence industrial base, with an initial emphasis on the UK market. The business operates within Vertis Capital Partners alongside the group’s existing lending strategies.

The appointment comes at a time of increased defence investment across the UK, NATO and Europe, as governments seek to strengthen national security and expand defence capabilities. Foundry Capital believes access to finance remains a key challenge for many businesses operating within the defence supply chain.

The lender provides senior secured lending, cash flow finance and bespoke working capital facilities backed by inventory, receivables, contractual cash flows and other business assets. Its funding is designed to help SMEs and lower mid-market companies secure new contracts, invest in growth and increase production capacity.

Foundry’s target market extends beyond the major defence contractors to include businesses operating across air, land, sea, space, cyber, electronics, advanced materials, manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and specialist services.

The firm focuses on supporting companies delivering Ministry of Defence and other government contracts, as well as suppliers to the police, armed forces and wider security sector.
