AFS Group appoints new Group Operations Director

AFS Group Holdings, the parent company of Asset Finance Solutions (UK) Ltd, AFS Compliance, and Synergy Commercial Finance, has announced the appointment of Nicholas Murphy as Group Operations Director.

Murphy joins from the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB), where he spent more than a decade in senior roles, most recently as Head of Membership. His appointment marks a strategic step for AFS Group as it looks to expand its market presence and roll out new initiatives over the next 12 months.

Commenting on the hire, Nick Simpson, Managing Director of AFS Group Holdings, said: “We continue to see both the Asset Finance Solutions and Synergy Commercial Finance businesses go from strength to strength and have recently attracted key talent, both as direct employees and network members.

“It is imperative that we continue to invest in and evolve our operational capabilities to ensure all parties deliver the best outcomes for our customers.

“Alongside this, we have recently added new businesses to the Group, including Forest Horizon, our newly established IT development company. Forest Horizon is designed to provide services not only to our network but also to the wider community of brokers and funders. As ambitious founders, we strive to bring innovative solutions to the market, and Nicholas will help ensure these visions are realised in a structured and timely way.”

Murphy said he was looking forward to contributing to the Group’s next phase of development: “In my previous roles, I had the pleasure of working closely with members of the AFS Group senior leadership team and was impressed by the reputation and culture of the business.
