AerCap completes 202 aviation asset transactions in Q2 2026

Global aviation lessor AerCap Holdings N.V. completed 202 aircraft, engine and helicopter lease, purchase and sale transactions during the second quarter of 2026, highlighting continued demand for aviation assets and active fleet portfolio management.

During the quarter, AerCap signed 120 lease agreements, comprising 11 widebody aircraft, 47 narrowbody aircraft, 49 engines and 13 helicopters, reflecting strong leasing activity across multiple asset classes.

The company also completed 33 purchase transactions, adding 25 aircraft to its portfolio, including nine Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, 10 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, five Boeing 787-9 aircraft and one Embraer E195-E2. AerCap also acquired five engines and three helicopters during the period.

AerCap completed 49 sale transactions covering 45 aircraft, two engines and two helicopters. The aircraft sales included 15 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, 14 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, one Airbus A350, two Boeing 737NG aircraft, one Boeing 787-8, one Boeing 767-300ERF, one Embraer E195-E2 from its owned portfolio and 10 aircraft from its managed portfolio.

Alongside its portfolio activity, AerCap signed approximately $2.2 billion of financing transactions during the quarter, supporting ongoing investment and fleet expansion.

The company also continued to return capital to shareholders, repurchasing approximately 4.9 million shares at an average price of $141.24 per share, representing a total investment of approximately $691 million. In addition, AerCap declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.40 per ordinary share.
