UTB appoints Kate Johnson to grow high value car business

United Trust Bank (UTB) Asset Finance has appointed Kate Johnson as Regional Broker Manager as it looks to continue the growth of its High Value Car (HVC) finance business.

Johnson brings nearly 20 years of experience across the motor sales and motor finance sectors, having worked with businesses including Hartwell PLC and MotoNovo Finance.

She joins UTB from JBR Capital, where she spent nine years, most recently as Senior Business Development Manager, funding luxury, prestige, classic and supercars.

In her new role, Johnson will join UTB’s Asset Finance sales team and focus on developing the bank’s HVC proposition and broker relationships. She will report to Astrid Michael, Sales & Marketing Director – Asset Finance, and work closely with Giles Hussey, Senior Underwriter and lead for UTB’s HVC deals.

The appointment follows growth in UTB’s High Value Car business over the past year and comes as its wider Asset Finance division continues to expand.

UTB is also preparing for a wider national roll-out of Stance Asset Finance later this year. The proposition is designed to provide brokers with an additional funding option for transactions that fall outside UTB’s established lending criteria.
