Appointments Sponsored by Appointments Alphabet appoints Ursula Wingfield as CEO for UK and Ireland Published: 5th June 2026 Share Alphabet has announced a leadership transition that will see Ursula Wingfield become Chief Executive Officer of Alphabet and BMW Group Financial Services in the UK and Ireland from 1 August 2026. Wingfield succeeds Mike Dennett, who will take up the role of Head of Region Europe for BMW Group Financial Services. Dennett has led Alphabet UK since January 2022 and has served as CEO of BMW Group Financial Services in the UK and Ireland for more than 11 years. Currently Chief Financial Officer of Alphabet and BMW Group Financial Services in the UK and Ireland, Wingfield brings extensive international leadership experience from across the BMW Group. Her previous roles include Chief Executive Officer of Alphabet Germany and CEO of BMW Financial Services South Africa. Alongside the CEO transition, May Wong has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Alphabet and BMW Group Financial Services in the UK and Ireland, effective from 1 August 2026. Wong joins from BMW Group Financial Services Australia, where she currently serves as CEO. She has held a range of senior leadership positions across the BMW Group, including roles in South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. The appointments are subject to approval by the Financial Conduct Authority.
