Under the agreement, Zenith will deploy mobile service technicians and utilise its nationwide third-party repair network to support delivery partners operating from Amazon Delivery Stations across the UK. The service will provide on-site repairs, preventative maintenance and vehicle health checks designed to keep last-mile delivery fleets operational and reduce unplanned downtime. The programme will initially be rolled out to more than 1,000 vehicles over the next three months, giving DSP operators access to professional maintenance support through a competitively priced fixed-cost package. The arrangement is intended to provide predictable maintenance expenses while enabling delivery partners to focus on their logistics operations. Zenith technicians will carry out regular vehicle inspections to identify wear and tear issues before they become serious faults. The preventative approach aims to maximise vehicle availability and ensure delivery partners can maintain consistent service for customers. The contract reflects Zenith’s strategy to develop customer-led solutions for commercial fleet operators, particularly in the fast-growing last-mile delivery market driven by e-commerce demand. Martin Jenkins, CEO of Zenith’s Commercial division, said the initiative introduces a new model for supporting delivery fleets within Amazon’s partner network. “This solution is a first for both DSPs and Amazon, giving business owners complete cost certainty, while our onsite technicians significantly improve fleet availability by minimising the ‘mean time to repair’,” Jenkins said. “The early results are extremely encouraging — we’ve seen data showing a 20% uplift in fleet availability for some DSPs within just a few weeks of going live.” Zenith said the partnership will see the service scaled across UK Delivery Stations in Amazon’s network as the programme expands. The company added that the model aims to reimagine how maintenance and repair support can be delivered in the final-mile sector, where vehicle uptime is critical to meeting delivery schedules.
