Volvo Financial Services (VFS) has appointed Tabitha Brace as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer.

Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Brace will take responsibility for the organisation’s global finance function, providing leadership across accounting, capital markets and funding, as well as financial and business control.

Brace joined VFS in 2003 in an accounting role and was later promoted to business controller. She subsequently held a number of finance director positions before becoming managing director for VFS UK and Ireland, where she oversaw the company’s operations in the market.

In 2021, she was appointed senior vice president for VFS Europe South & West, responsible for business operations across six markets. Her responsibilities later expanded to include additional markets from the company’s international region. Most recently, Brace served as senior vice president for VFS Europe North & Central.

Marcio Pedroso, president of Volvo Financial Services, said Brace’s experience across finance and commercial leadership roles made her well suited to the position.

“Tabitha’s career at VFS has been defined by exceptional financial acumen, sound business judgement and outstanding leadership, and this experience has prepared her well for this new role,” he said.

Brace studied at Reed Business School and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
