Harris joins from ABN AMRO Bank, where he served as UK Head of Legal, Commercial Finance & Lease. With more than 15 years of combined in-house and private practice experience, Harris brings deep expertise in asset-based lending and commercial banking. At ABN AMRO, he oversaw the bank’s UK asset-based lending division, ABN AMRO Commercial Finance (ACF), managing products that included ABL facilities, off-balance sheet financing, and government-backed loan schemes. From 2024, he also led the legal function supporting ABN AMRO Lease and the bank’s UK trade finance offerings. Prior to joining ABN AMRO in 2018, Harris spent several years in private practice within the Banking and Finance team at Mayer Brown, advising major UK, European, and US banks, independent invoice discounters, borrowers, and private equity funds on complex cross-border transactions. He trained at DLA Piper, qualifying in 2010, and also completed a secondment to RBS Invoice Finance Limited’s in-house legal department. Welcoming Harris to the firm, Paula Laird, European Head of Banking at Squire Patton Boggs, said: “We are delighted to have Bradley join us in London. “He has an extensive track record of handling complex cross-border transactions in the ABL space, and clients will value his direct banking experience and insight. He is a superb addition to our financial services and banking group in London, which continues to grow under our new global head, Ranajoy Basu.” Harris expressed enthusiasm about his move, adding: “I’ve known and worked with the firm’s excellent ABL team for some years. It’s one of the leading groups in this very specialist area. On top of that, Squire Patton Boggs has a broader financial services offering packed with talent and an impressive global footprint. I’m looking forward to being part of this dynamic group.” The hire further strengthens Squire Patton Boggs’ market-leading ABL team, which advises major financial institutions and corporates on asset finance transactions, including operating leasing, receivables finance, ABL, securitisation, and portfolio sales. Harris’ arrival is the latest in a series of strategic senior appointments within the Financial Services Practice Group this year, which has also welcomed partners Ranajoy Basu, Monica Gogna, and Philip Prowse in London, as well as Cynthia Weiss in Washington DC and Gabriel Dabiri in New York.
