New Secretary General appointed at the Austrian leasing association

Magdalena Gruber is taking over the position of Secretary General of the Association of Austrian Leasing Companies (VÖL).

Dr. Magdalena Gruber, BSc (WU), has been responsible for the duties of the Secretary General of the VÖL since the beginning of 2025. She succeeds Wolfgang Steinmann, who passed away in July 2024.

Gruber began her career at CERHA HEMPEL after studying business law and IBWL at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. This was followed by positions at the Universities of Vienna and Klagenfurt and at Merkur Versicherung.

She also has extensive knowledge of association work, has been awarded the Maria Schaumayer Prize and the Austrian Banking Association Prize, and has taught in recent years at the Universities of Vienna and Klagenfurt, as well as at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt.
