The Group, which brings together Global Vans, Fleet Alliance, XLCR Vehicle Management and LCV Group, currently manages more than 70,000 vehicles, with assets under management exceeding £2.5bn. Its growth strategy will focus on investment in technology, people and digital services, while strengthening collaboration between its specialist businesses to make the Group’s combined services more accessible to customers. GVG aims to support businesses of all sizes, from sole traders and SMEs to larger organisations with complex fleet requirements, by providing access to vehicle leasing, fleet management and salary sacrifice solutions. Andrew Hurst, Chief Executive Officer of Global Vehicle Group, said: “We have built a Group with substantial scale and expertise across the business vehicle market. Each of our brands has strong customer relationships and specialist knowledge, and we see considerable opportunity to build on those foundations. “Palladian’s backing gives us the support to invest for the long term. We want to help our businesses grow, develop our people and make it easier for customers to access the services they need across the Group. “A customer’s requirements can change considerably over time. They may need additional vehicles, more support managing their fleet or help introducing salary sacrifice. We have the expertise within the Group to support those changes and want to make better use of it for our customers.” Technology development will play a central role in GVG’s growth strategy, with planned improvements to its websites, digital customer journeys and proprietary systems. The Group is also preparing to extend access to its eFleet vehicle management and driver support platform across its brands, providing business customers and drivers with a common point of access to fleet services. GVG said the investment would combine enhanced digital capabilities with the specialist advice and account management services already provided by its individual businesses. Doug Oppenheim, Co-Managing Partner of Palladian Investment Partners, commented: “GVG brings together established businesses with complementary strengths and a management team that understands its customers and markets. “We see considerable potential to grow from that position. Our role is to support the team with the investment and resources to develop the business over the long term, while building on the expertise and service that customers already value.” The investment was announced alongside plans for former Zenith Chief Executive Andrew Cope to join GVG as non-executive Chairman, bringing additional fleet industry experience to the Group’s board.
