The publication, titled The Managed Services Shift: Insights from Office Technology Financing Experts, explores how financing can support office technology and workplace solution providers as they adapt their business models to meet changing customer expectations. According to the eBook, demand for integrated managed services is accelerating as organisations seek simpler supplier relationships and more connected workplace technology solutions. Referencing research from research firm IDC, DLL highlighted predictions that by 2028, 40% of organisations currently operating under a print services contract will look to consolidate print and IT services into a single provider agreement. Bryan Spence, contributor to the eBook and Head of Global Strategic Impact at DLL, said: “The IDC FutureScape: Worldwide Imaging, Printing, and Document Solutions 2026 Predictions predicts that ‘By 2028, 40% of organizations currently under a print services contract will seek to consolidate print and IT services under one contract through a ‘single source’ provider.’ “The question isn’t if the shift to managed services needs to happen — it’s how. Specifically, how are office technology and workplace solution providers going fund the devices, networking, and services customers expect?” The eBook brings together insights from DLL specialists working directly with providers navigating the transition towards managed services models. Alongside Spence, contributors include Jacqulene Zambon, Head of Commercial Finance and Workplace, Healthcare, and Technology Solutions at DLL Canada, and Matthew Keown, New Business Development Manager at DLL. The publication explores how financing can help providers scale managed services operations, while also examining the evolving role of print technology and the growing importance of cybersecurity within managed service offerings. Topics covered include how financing structures can support expansion into managed services, why print continues to evolve rather than disappear, and how cybersecurity solutions are increasingly becoming a natural extension of managed workplace services. DLL said the eBook is intended to help office technology providers better understand the operational, commercial and funding considerations associated with moving towards more integrated, service-led customer relationships.
