The agreement follows a supplier tender process and covers the recovery and disposal of vehicle assets financed by Close Brothers Motor Finance, part of Close Brothers Group PLC. Under the arrangement, G3 will provide an end-to-end service, including vehicle recovery, asset management and remarketing. G3 will coordinate nationwide recoveries using a network of more than 30 secure drop-off hubs and auction centres. Vehicles will be sold through G3’s multi-channel remarketing platform, with physical, auctioneer-led sales remaining central to the process. Stock from Close Brothers Motor Finance, including cars, motorcycles and light commercial vehicles, will be offered in weekly sales at G3’s Castleford auction site near Leeds and at its Bedford facility in the South Midlands. The partnership is scheduled to begin in early January 2026. Initial sales events will take place at G3 Bedford on 5 January, followed by a sale at G3 Castleford on 8 January. A dedicated motorcycle sale is planned for 9 January. Gareth Jones, joint managing director of G3 Vehicle Auctions, said the agreement would expand the volume of vehicles passing through the group’s auction network in 2026. “Securing this major contract with one of the UK’s leading motor finance providers reinforces G3’s position as the genuine ‘go-to’ remarketing partner for finance house assets. Close Brothers vehicles are highly regarded by trade buyers, and we’re thrilled to expand our network in 2026 – bringing even more vehicles to market and showcasing them through our state-of-the-art auction facilities and multi-channel sales offering every week”. John Cassidy, managing director at Close Brothers Motor Finance, said G3 was selected following the tender process based on its experience and national coverage. “With their market-leading reputation and deep knowledge of motor finance, G3 was the clear choice for this partnership. Their technology, expertise and nationwide reach will help us drive greater asset value and operational efficiency, delivering a faster and more transparent experience for customers and colleagues alike.” Close Brothers Motor Finance has provided motor finance solutions for more than 30 years and works with more than 5,000 dealers and brokers.
