CA Auto Finance partners with Easee to power UK’s used EV market

CA Auto Finance has partnered with smart charging company Easee to launch a fully integrated, finance-ready home charging solution aimed at accelerating the UK’s expanding used electric vehicle market.

The partnership packages a used EV, an Easee One home charger and professional installation into a single monthly finance payment, removing the upfront cost and logistical challenges that often deter buyers.

Customers can now arrange their vehicle and home charging setup at the same time, with installation scheduled quickly through digital smart-home surveys and remote support.

The initiative arrives as demand for used EVs continues to surge. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reports a 57.4% year-on-year increase in 2024, yet access to home charging remains a barrier for many drivers. CA Auto Finance’s latest research shows that over half of UK motorists are likely to choose an EV next time they buy a car, but most used EVs do not come with a charger and 37% of current EV drivers list poor charging access as a leading concern.

The Easee One charger, a 7.4kW domestic unit designed for the UK market, is included within the package and benefits from automatic software updates. The companies say the offer will allow drivers to leave the dealership with everything in place – vehicle, charger and installation – without the need for separate quotes or additional payments.
