Volkswagen Financial Services AG (VWFS) has announced a major leadership change that will take effect on January 1, 2026.

Anthony Bandmann, currently the Management Board Member for Sales and Marketing, will succeed Dr. Christian Dahlheim as Chairman of the Board of Management.

Dr. Dahlheim will depart VWFS at the end of 2025 to become Chief Executive Officer of Pon Holdings, the Netherlands’ largest mobility company with around 10,000 employees worldwide. VWFS said details regarding Bandmann’s successor on the Sales and Marketing board will be announced at a later date.

Dr. Arno Antlitz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of VWFS and Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Volkswagen AG, praised Bandmann as an accomplished leader well prepared for the role.

“With Anthony Bandmann, an experienced top manager with extensive expertise in sales, financial services and banking is assuming the Chairmanship of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Financial Services AG,” Antlitz said. “As Board Member for Sales and Marketing, Anthony Bandmann has already been extremely successful together with his team in advancing the new car, used car and insurance businesses in Europe. He will now steadfastly continue this path as CEO of VWFS. I wish Anthony Bandmann every success in this important role.”

He also thanked Dr. Dahlheim for his leadership over the past four years. “During his four years as CEO, he has made substantial contributions to the company’s financial success, its sound refinancing foundation, and its new strategic orientation. I wish Dr. Christian Dahlheim all the best in his new endeavour,” Antlitz added.

Bandmann brings an extensive track record within the Volkswagen Group. He joined VW Bank GmbH in Braunschweig in 2012 as Chairman of the Management Board, later serving concurrently as Managing Director of Volkswagen Versicherungsdienst. From 2017 to 2019, he was CEO of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH before moving to the United States as President and CEO of VW Credit, Inc. (VCI). In 2021, he returned to Germany to join the VWFS AG Management Board as Head of Sales and Marketing.

From January 1, 2026, the Management Board of Volkswagen Financial Services AG will consist of Anthony Bandmann (Chairman of the Board of Management), Dr. Ingrun-Ulla Bartölke (Finance and Procurement), Dr. Alena Kretzberg (IT and Digital), and Christian Löbke (Risk Management).

The new board member responsible for Sales and Marketing will be named in due course. Arne Puls will continue overseeing Human Resources and Organisation as Chief Representative.
