Aldermore appoints Louise Britnell as new Chief Financial Officer

Aldermore Group has announced the appointment of Louise Britnell as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 2025.

Britnell will succeed Ralph Coates, who has served as the Group’s CFO since May 2022.

Britnell joins Aldermore from The Co-operative Bank, where she has spent the past four years as CFO, overseeing the Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Secretariat functions. During her tenure, she played a key role in driving the bank’s growth and successfully steering its sale to Coventry Building Society earlier this year.

Before joining The Co-operative Bank, Britnell spent four years at one of the UK’s largest pension schemes by assets and began her career at Deloitte, working across banking, insurance, and non-standard lending clients.

Outgoing CFO Ralph Coates reflected on his time at the bank, adding: “It’s been a privilege to serve as CFO at Aldermore. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together, and I wish Steven, Louise and the whole team every success as the bank continues to grow and evolve.”
