AerCap reports 146 asset transactions in Q3 2025

Aviation leasing company, AerCap Holdings N.V., announced that it completed 146 major transactions in the third quarter of 2025.

During the quarter, AerCap signed 66 lease agreements across its portfolio, including 14 widebody aircraft, 25 narrowbody aircraft, 15 engines, and 12 helicopters.

The company also completed 35 purchases, adding 17 aircraft to its owned fleet—comprising eight Airbus A320neo Family jets and nine Boeing 737 MAX aircraft—alongside 11 engines and seven helicopters.

On the divestment side, AerCap executed 45 sales, covering 40 aircraft, four engines, and one helicopter. These included two Airbus A320s, 10 A320neo Family aircraft, one Airbus A330, five Boeing 737NGs, seven Boeing 777-300ERs, and five Embraer E190/E195s, with 30 sold from its owned portfolio and 10 from its managed portfolio.

The company also reported significant financial developments. It received approximately €203 million in cash insurance settlement proceeds and was awarded about $234 million in interest related to the June 2025 London Commercial Court judgment for aircraft stranded in Russia following the 2022 invasion.

In addition, AerCap repurchased approximately 8.2 million shares during the quarter, at an average price of $119.95 per share, for a total of about $981 million, while declaring a quarterly cash dividend of $0.27 per share.
