Auto Finance Sponsored by Auto Finance News ACEA launches data platform to track Europe’s auto transition Published: 2nd October 2025 Share The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) has launched a new premium data company, ACEA:intelligence, aimed at providing authoritative insight into the transformation of Europe’s automotive industry. The platform will deliver comprehensive datasets and reports on areas such as electrification, trade, safety, emissions, employment and vehicle registrations, including coverage of the heavy-duty sector. It builds on ACEA’s long-standing role as a provider of industry reference data, including car registration statistics and its annual Automobile Industry Pocket Guide. ACEA Director General Sigrid de Vries said the new venture comes at a critical time as the sector faces pressure to remain competitive while advancing sustainability goals. “Our industry is undergoing profound transformation driven by electrification, shifting trade relationships and complex regulatory frameworks. Informed decisions require a solid evidence base,” de Vries said. Operating independently from ACEA, the new digital platform will provide ready-made and tailor-made datasets, interactive dashboards and fact-based studies. The association said the service is designed for businesses, researchers, policymakers and investors who need reliable data in a fast-changing regulatory and economic environment. ACEA:Intelligence General Manager Alexandre Provost said the goal is to make complex data accessible. “By combining factual, extensive data with an intuitive digital experience, we make complex statistics accessible and actionable in just a few clicks,” he said. ACEA:intelligence positions itself as the only platform powered directly by Europe’s leading vehicle manufacturers, offering what it describes as unbiased and exhaustive industry coverage. The launch comes as policymakers and manufacturers grapple with questions on electrification, supply chain resilience, trade tensions and the future of mobility.
