Jobs Asset Finance Credit Underwriter – Greater London Office-based Share Excellent salary and package. We are recruiting for a leading Asset Finance House in their search for a Middle Ticket Credit Underwriter, where the deals will typically be £750k to £10 Million in size. We are particularly keen to speak with individuals who have already held an underwriting authority of at least £1 Million. Primary Responsibilities will involve: Analyse credit data and financial statements to assess risk in extending credit Interpret and evaluate internal and external credit reference agency, broker, and market reports to determine risk levels. Conduct due diligence meetings with internal and external credit associations and business/customer representatives. Generate and evaluate financial ratios using internal credit tools to assess customers’ financial status. Prepare risk reports with clear, concise, and rational recommendations for credit decisions. Exercise personal sanctioning authority with diligence and prepare recommendations for transactions outside personal sanctioning authority. Ensure compliance with industry guidelines and statutory regulations, including consumer credit, treating customers fairly, anti-money laundering, and data protection. Review existing transactions periodically and prepare recommendations for the renewal of internal credit ratings/facilities. Ensure all transactions meet appropriate credit sanctions and limits, and that all documentation is properly executed. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years of credit experience, ideally with a background in analysing and interpreting financial statements/data from various industries. Excellent analytical skills with a strong sense of commerciality and business focus. Good knowledge of the asset finance industry and various product offerings and funding facilities. Clear and efficient communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with peers and senior management.
