Community The Leasing Foundation raises £41,339 for Coach Core in 2025 Published: 27th January 2026 Share The Leasing Foundation raised £41,339 for youth charity Coach Core during 2025, following a year-long programme of industry events, fundraising initiatives and community-driven support across the asset finance sector. A key boost to the total came in December, when £18,000 raised was match-funded, unlocking a further £18,000 and significantly increasing the final amount. The funds were generated through a wide range of activities, including industry gatherings, networking evenings and broader community engagement, demonstrating what the Foundation described as a “strong collective effort” across the sector. Coach Core, which helps young people from challenging backgrounds into work and training through sports coaching, has now supported more than 1,000 young people in developing skills, confidence and long-term career pathways. Mel Chell, co-lead of the Leasing Foundation Giving working group, praised the sector’s united effort: “We’re incredibly proud of what the industry achieved together in 2025. Raising over £40,000 for Coach Core is a real testament to the generosity and commitment of our community. The match funding in December made a huge difference and allowed us to maximise the impact of every pound raised. We’re excited to build on this momentum this year and continue supporting the life-changing work Coach Core does.” Coach Core CEO and co-founder Gary Laybourne also welcomed the significant fundraising total: “We’re hugely grateful to the Leasing Foundation and everyone across the asset finance community who got behind Coach Core in 2025. This funding will make a real difference to the young people we support, helping them build confidence, gain skills and take steps into work and training. The match funding in December was an incredible boost and shows what’s possible when an industry comes together for a shared cause.” The Leasing Foundation has confirmed it will continue its partnership with Coach Core into 2026, with major events including the senior leaders’ drinks in February and the annual Summer Party in June. Tickets have already sold out for the Industry Leaders’ Drinks reception on 24 February 2026, with a record number of attendees and exceptional support from organisations across the industry.
