Technology Sponsored by Technology TFS Financial launches equipment finance programme for WEX customers Published: 23rd June 2026 Share TFS Financial, part of Travelers Financial Group, has launched a new equipment finance programme for customers of WEX, providing trucking and transportation businesses across North America with streamlined access to funding for vehicles and equipment. The new initiative, branded “Equipment Financing Powered by TFS”, has been developed specifically for WEX Over-the-Road customers and is designed to help fleets secure capital more quickly and efficiently than through traditional bank lending channels. Under the programme, customers will gain access to TFS Financial’s Multi-Lender Platform, which uses proprietary Match Engine Technology to connect borrowers with finance providers based on factors including credit profile, asset type and financing term. The approach is intended to broaden access to finance while simplifying the application process. TFS Financial, which provides captive finance and equipment finance solutions to equipment manufacturers, dealers, resellers, marketplaces and financial institutions across the United States and Canada, said the platform enables trucking and transportation operators to obtain competitive financing solutions for a wide range of equipment, helping businesses invest in growth while reducing the complexity often associated with conventional lending. Aaron Case, president of TFS Financial, said the partnership combines two organisations with a shared focus on technology and customer experience. “WEX is a globally respected platform that shares our focus on operational efficiency and customer experience,” he said. “With this programme, we’re enabling WEX customers to access capital through a modern, technology-enabled financing experience that helps them quickly acquire the equipment they need to grow their businesses. We’re excited to build a scalable programme that delivers real value to WEX customers and partners.” The agreement expands the range of services available to WEX’s transportation customers, which include long-haul trucking fleets and other commercial vehicle operators. For more than four decades, WEX has provided fuel management, payments, billing and compliance solutions to the trucking and transportation sector. Its technology platform helps fleet operators manage fuel spending, improve operational visibility and automate administrative processes. Tim Hampton, senior vice president and general manager, Fleet, at WEX, said access to finance is an increasingly important consideration for fleet operators seeking to expand and modernise their businesses. “WEX is focused on helping fleets operate with greater visibility, control and financial flexibility as they grow,” he said. “Our agreement with TFS Financial expands the resources available to customers by providing a more streamlined path to equipment financing, helping them make confident decisions and keep their businesses moving forward.” The launch reflects growing demand for alternative and technology-enabled financing solutions within the transportation sector, where access to capital remains critical for fleet expansion, equipment replacement and operational efficiency.
