By the end of August 2025, Stellantis reached a major milestone in Europe, recording more than 1,651,000 passenger car registrations year-to-date across EU30 markets. The achievement secures the automaker’s position as the second-largest player in the region, holding a 16.7% market share.

A highlight of the period was Stellantis’ strong momentum in the strategic hybrid vehicle segment. August alone saw a 4.9 percentage-point increase compared to the same month in 2024. Over the first eight months of 2025, Stellantis leads the hybrid category with a 15.6% share (+4.1pp year-over-year). Within Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs), the company stands firmly at #1 both for August and YTD, commanding over 18% of the market, with Peugeot recording standout growth, climbing seven spots in the rankings versus last year.

The company also reaffirmed its dominance in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment through its Stellantis Pro One division, leading the market with a 29.5% YTD share. Despite a 10% decline in the overall LCV market, Stellantis Pro One also maintained its leadership in the BEV LCV category and ranked #1 in seven of the G10 countries.

Across individual markets, Stellantis consolidated its leadership:

  • France: 29.5% share YTD, leading in passenger cars, LCVs, and BEVs. The Peugeot 208 (#2), Citroën C3 (#4), and Peugeot 2008 (#5) ranked among the Top 5 best-selling passenger cars, while the Citroën ë-C3 (#2) and Peugeot e-208 (#5) stood out among BEVs. Alfa Romeo surged 55% in the premium segment.
  • Italy: Market leader with a 29.8% share. FIAT remains the top-selling brand, with the Panda Hybrid leading overall sales. The Jeep® Avenger topped SUV sales in both August and YTD, while the FIAT Grande Panda led the B-BEV category in August.
  • Portugal: Stellantis led all segments, with BEV sales up 29% in August.
  • Spain: Stellantis led the total and LCV electric market, supported by steady growth from Peugeot and Opel.
  • Germany and the UK: The Opel/Vauxhall Corsa remained the #1 B-Hatch in August and YTD. In the UK, Stellantis Pro One led the small van segment, with the Vauxhall Combo topping August sales and the Citroën Berlingo leading YTD.
  • Austria: Stellantis Pro One dominated LCV sales with a 28.9% share in August, while total sales rose 40% year-over-year.

Commenting on the results, Luca Napolitano, Commercial Operations Officer at Stellantis, said: “Surpassing 1.65 million registrations already by August YTD is a very positive signal.

“We are particularly pleased with our strong performance in the commercial vehicle segment, where Stellantis has traditionally held a leadership position. Special mention goes to our results in the hybrid vehicle segment, which we consider of high strategic importance. We recently reached the top spot and continue to grow, thanks especially to models like the Citroën C3, FIAT Grande Panda, and Opel Frontera, which are steadily gaining the market recognition they deserve.”

Napolitano also praised markets with standout growth: “Austria, Belgium, Italy, and Poland delivered truly outstanding performances over the past month.”
