The council brings together senior Stellantis leaders and 26 supplier partners spanning a broad mix of technologies and capabilities. Through three sessions scheduled in 2026, the group will work to identify shared challenges, define priorities and deliver joint solutions to boost competitiveness, innovation and industrial performance. Describing the initiative as a major step forward, Emanuele Cappellano, COO of Stellantis Europe, said: “The launch of the Europe Supplier Advisory Council represents an important milestone in our journey to strengthen the region’s industrial performance. Today, more than ever, our success depends on deep collaboration with our supplier partners.” He added that the new forum would help “build the foundation for faster execution, stronger competitiveness, and sustainable growth across Europe.” The council also includes participation from leading supplier associations such as ANFIA and FIEV, broadening industry input into discussions. Stephane Dubs, SVP, Purchasing and Supplier Quality for Stellantis Europe, emphasised the importance of closer cooperation, stating: “Our suppliers are essential contributors to Stellantis’ transformation. This new Council allows us to work side-by-side, with transparency and respect, to co-create solutions that benefit both sides.” He added that the collaboration would address “critical issues shaping our industry—whether in quality, launch readiness, cost competitiveness, innovation, or supply chain resilience.” Industry representatives also welcomed the move. Jean Louis Pech, President of FIEV, said the initiative “represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen our relationship and enrich the dialogue with suppliers,” while Marco Stella, President of ANFIA Components Group and Vice President of ANFIA, highlighted the need for stronger partnerships amid “European market weakness, geopolitical instability and fierce competition.” The council will focus on key areas including production planning, regulatory and cost challenges, technology readiness and operational excellence, with joint workstreams led by both Stellantis executives and supplier representatives. Through the initiative, Stellantis aims to reinforce long-term partnerships and build a more competitive, innovative and resilient European automotive supply chain.
