Solifi appoints Kevin Smith as Chief Legal Officer

Solifi has appointed Kevin Smith as chief legal officer, adding a senior legal executive with more than 25 years of experience advising global technology companies on transactions, governance and regulatory matters.

In the role, Smith will oversee Solifi’s global legal strategy, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance and risk management as the company continues to expand its secured finance software business across international markets.

Smith joins Solifi from JAGGAER, where he served as general counsel and led the company’s global legal operations and compliance functions. During his tenure, he advised the procurement technology provider on legal and regulatory matters associated with operating in multiple international markets.

Earlier in his career, Smith held senior legal leadership positions at Red Hat, including during the period when the company was acquired by IBM in 2019 in one of the largest software acquisitions on record. He previously practiced corporate law at the international law firm WilmerHale.
