Simply team completes Shine Night Walk in support of CRUK

On 20th September, Mike Randall, CEO of Simply Asset Finance, and 16 Simply colleagues laced up their walking shoes to take part in Cancer Research UK’s iconic Shine Night Walk – and proudly crossed the finish line.

Stepping into the illuminated streets of London, the Simply team joined thousands of walkers to raise vital funds for life-saving cancer research. Some completed the 10km route, while others pushed themselves through the full marathon distance – all united in their commitment to supporting CRUK.

Earlier in the month, colleagues in Liverpool also took part in their local Shine Night Walk on 5th September, ensuring that both Simply offices played their part in the nationwide fundraising effort.

The Simply team are no strangers to giving back. Earlier this year, the Simply Cup – a fundraising football tournament uniting the asset finance industry – raised over £26,000 for charity. 

So far, Simply’s Shine Night Walk efforts have already raised more than £14,000, but donations are still welcome.

Reflecting on the achievement, Mike Randall said: “This was probably one of the toughest things I have ever done, and I didn’t actually think how far 26.2 miles was!

“The emotion and team spirit that we all felt made this amazing, and I am so proud to have made it. Needing a bit of repair now – but it was absolutely worth it for such an important cause.”

The successful completion of the Shine Night Walk is a fantastic achievement for the Simply team and a demonstration of resilience, teamwork, and community spirit.
