Simply takes on Shine Night Walk in support of CRUK

Tomorrow, 20th September, Mike Randall, CEO of Simply Asset Finance, will join 16 colleagues as they lace up their walking shoes and take part in Cancer Research UK’s iconic Shine Night Walk.

The team will step into the illuminated streets of London, walking through the night alongside thousands of others to raise vital funds for life-saving cancer research. Some of the group are tackling the 10km route, while others are braving the full marathon distance – all in the name of supporting CRUK.

Simply are proud to have teams walking in both London and Liverpool, where their offices are based. The Simply Liverpool team already completed their Shine Night Walk challenge earlier this month making a fantastic contribution to the cause. Now, it’s London’s turn.

Mike and his colleagues are no strangers to giving back. Earlier this year, the Simply Cup – a fundraising challenge uniting the asset finance industry – raised over £26,000 for charity. But this time, the challenge is deeply personal.

“I can hear ‘you must be mad!’,” said Mike. “But this is for a cause very close to all our hearts at Simply, and I am also looking forward to challenging myself mentally and physically for such an important cause.”

He hopes the walk will encourage generous donations from friends, colleagues, and the wider asset finance community.

“We do have a chance of smashing our donation total with this initiative and with your kindness,” Mike added.
