Asset Finance Sponsored by Asset Finance News Simply Asset Finance reaches £2bn loan origination milestone Published: 11th December 2025 Share Simply Asset Finance has surpassed £2 billion in total loan originations following a strong third quarter of 2025, marking a significant expansion of its lending activity to small and medium-sized businesses across the UK. The lender’s gross loan book grew to £543 million over the year, while the total number of customers served rose to 13,000. The company attributed the increases to the introduction of new digital origination channels and the addition of commercial loans to its product range. Simply said its growth in 2025 was underpinned by upgrades to its technology platform and record lending volumes across several regions. In July, the firm launched Kara, an artificial-intelligence-powered virtual agent designed to automate parts of the application process, draw on historical data to inform decision-making and reduce turnaround times. Chief executive Mike Randall said the milestone reflected sustained demand for specialist lending despite challenging economic conditions. “Our growth this year has built on the momentum of 2024, and reaching £2bn is a clear milestone for the business,” he said. “Rising demand for specialist lending has helped us expand our footprint and support more SMEs. Kara has been central to meeting demand quickly and efficiently, and we expect her value to customers will only grow.” Managing director John Wiles said the figures demonstrated the company’s continued progress. “Reaching another milestone origination achievement in 2025 is proof of our continued business momentum,” he said. “Year-on-year, Simply continues to deliver record amounts of vital funding to SMEs across the UK, giving them the confidence and capital to invest.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories NewsCornerstone Finance joins with HH Business Finance NewsCalling all asset finance brokers – What did you achieve in 2025?
