Rightcharge and vaylens partner on EV home charging reimbursement for fleets

Share

EV charge point management software provider vaylens has partnered with Rightcharge to automate home charging reimbursement for fleet customers across the UK.

The partnership will combine vaylens’ management of charging networks, driver access and workplace charging with Rightcharge’s EV charging payment technology, giving fleet operators a more integrated way to manage charging as their electric vehicle fleets grow.

Using charging-session data supplied by vaylens, Rightcharge will automatically apply each driver’s home energy tariff and settle the reimbursement directly with their energy provider.

The companies said the integration is designed to address the administrative challenge of reimbursing home charging costs across fleets with hundreds or thousands of vehicles.

The partnership comes as battery-electric vehicles continue to increase their share of the UK new car market, accounting for 25% of registrations during the first half of 2026, according to SMMT figures.

Home charging offers potential cost savings

Where drivers charge their vehicles can have a significant impact on overall fleet running costs.

Rightcharge data shows that public charging accounted for almost 70% of charging expenditure across its platform during the first half of 2026, despite providing 41% of the energy consumed.

The companies said increasing the proportion of charging carried out at drivers’ homes could therefore provide an opportunity for fleets to reduce their overall charging costs.

Russell Olive, UK Director at vaylens, said:

“When home charging costs around a third of public charging, fleets should be making as much use of it as they practically can. The challenge is making reimbursement work across hundreds or thousands of vehicles.

“Working with Rightcharge means we can automate that process at scale, while reimbursing drivers against what they actually pay.”

Under the partnership, vaylens will introduce its fleet customers to Rightcharge, which will manage the home charging reimbursement process using the charging data provided through the vaylens platform.

Freddie Winterbotham, Head of Partnerships at Rightcharge, added:

“Two of the leading software providers in charging, working together to solve a real problem for fleets. We’re looking forward to supporting vaylens’ customers as their electric fleets grow.”
