Appointments Sponsored by Appointments Raf Ramaekers named CEO of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions BeNe Published: 6th February 2026 Share BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions has appointed Raf Ramaekers as Chief Executive Officer for Belgium and the Netherlands, effective 1 January 2026. He succeeds Marieke van Zuien, who has been named Country Supervisor with responsibility for Poland, Romania, and the Iberia and Nordics clusters. Ramaekers brings nearly two decades of experience within BNP Paribas, having joined the group in 2006. Over the years, he has held a range of managerial positions at both national and international levels, with responsibilities spanning commercial and operational performance, supervision and governance across several countries and regional groups. Since 2024, Ramaekers has served as Head of Technology Lifecycle Solutions for Belgium and the Netherlands. The process to identify his successor in that role is currently underway. In the interim, he will continue to oversee Technology Lifecycle Solutions alongside his new responsibilities as CEO. Marieke van Zuien, who joined BNP Paribas in 2007, has held multiple senior leadership roles within the group. She has served as CEO of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions Belgium and the Netherlands since the end of 2022. In her new position as Country Supervisor, she will focus on overseeing several countries and regions within the organisation, further strengthening the group’s international leadership structure. “I am very pleased to welcome Raf to this position,” said Hugo Peek, CEO of BNP Paribas Netherlands. “He knows the leasing organisation, the market and our customers through and through. In previous roles, he has demonstrated his ability to effectively manage teams and deliver strong results. “Marieke has firmly positioned the BeNe organisation and is now bringing her knowledge and experience to the international level. These appointments underline our continued commitment to developing and growing talent.” Commenting on his appointment, Ramaekers said he was honoured by the trust placed in him by the Board of Directors. He highlighted the importance of close collaboration with partners and clients, noting that recent successes provide a strong foundation to build on in his new role. He added that: “It will be my priority to deliver our 2030 Mid Term Plan together with all our committed and very experienced colleagues in Belgium and the Netherlands.” Ramaekers also paid tribute to his predecessor, thanking Marieke van Zuien for her leadership and stewardship of the organisation, and wished her success in her new international role within BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions.
