nFusion Capital provides $15m ABL facility to US logistics firm

nFusion Capital has provided a $15m asset-based lending facility to a Houston-based transportation and logistics company operating in the US energy sector.

The facility includes an accordion feature that can increase total borrowing capacity to $30m, providing additional liquidity to support the company’s current operations and longer-term expansion plans.

The unnamed company specialises in transportation services for sand processing and crude oil and works with some of the largest energy companies in the US.

The funding requirement arose as the business experienced accelerated growth and sought additional working capital to support its expanding operations. At the same time, its incumbent lender was reducing its exposure to the sector as part of a more conservative approach to risk.

The existing lender subsequently referred the company to nFusion Capital, which structured a facility designed to provide immediate liquidity alongside capacity for future expansion.

The accordion element will enable the company to increase its borrowing capacity as the business grows, with the funding expected to support investment in projects, equipment and personnel.

The transaction was led by Greg Dyson, Senior Vice President of Business Development at nFusion Capital, with the facility closing within 60 days of the term sheet being agreed.

Dyson said: “I value the trust and confidence our bank partners demonstrated in referring this client to us.

“We were pleased to provide a more flexible solution with significant scalability potential to support the Company’s next phase of growth. This transaction reflects the dedication of our entire team and the collaborative efforts of all parties involved in achieving a smooth and efficient closing process.”

With potential borrowing capacity of up to $30m, the facility will also provide additional headroom for the company to pursue growth opportunities as demand develops across the US energy transportation market.
