Metro Bank backs High Brockholme Barns with refinance deal

Metro Bank has provided a growth-focused refinancing facility to High Brockholme Barns, a North Yorkshire-based wedding and events venue that has experienced rapid growth since opening just 18 months ago.

Through its Commercial banking offering, Metro Bank supports small and medium-sized businesses across a range of sectors, providing dedicated relationship managers who deliver tailored support and sector-specific expertise. This relationship-led approach underpinned the bank’s support for High Brockholme Barns as the business looks to build on its early success.

Situated on land that has remained in the Hugill family for three generations, High Brockholme Barns continues a long tradition of family stewardship. First acquired by the family in 1924 and originally operated as a mixed dairy farm, the estate has evolved over the past century under the Hugill family’s custodianship. In 2024, the site was transformed into a luxury wedding and events venue, featuring an events barn with a dedicated ceremony room, a six-bedroom detached house sleeping up to 12 guests, four three-bedroom units, and a honeymoon suite. In total, the accommodation can host up to 26 guests on site.
