New business development manager joins Ignition

Ignition has named Stephen Lee as its new Business Development Manager, as the Truro-based vehicle and asset finance firm seeks to expand its reach across the South West.

Lee joins from Simply Asset Finance and brings more than two decades of industry experience, including a long period with Ford Credit supporting dealerships in Devon, Cornwall and later across southern England.

Based near Torquay, he will focus on SMEs in Devon, Somerset and Dorset. Ignition, part of the STAR Asset Finance Group, provides funding for a range of assets including machinery, vehicles, equipment and renewable technology, alongside commercial loans.

Lee said Ignition’s reputation with South West businesses contributed to his decision to join the company. “Ignition has a strong reputation among South West SMEs, since it combines the personal service of a local team with the strength and stability of a national group,” he said. “I’m delighted to be joining the business and look forward to helping companies in the region access the financial solutions they need to invest and grow.”
