Europcar Mobility Group UK has strengthened its new business team with three senior appointments from across the fleet and rental sector.

The mobility provider has confirmed the appointment of Niamh Smith as New Business Director, alongside the recruitment of Amanda Lawrence and Paul Brown as Business Development Directors.

The trio will support the company’s strategy to expand its presence among corporate clients and fleet and leasing companies across the UK.

Niamh Smith brings nearly three decades of experience in the business mobility sector. She joins from Nexus Rental, where she served as Head of National Sales and built a strong reputation for developing strategic partnerships across the fleet industry. Prior to that, she spent 19 years at RAC Group, holding a variety of B2B and fleet sales roles that provided extensive insight into the mobility requirements of corporate and fleet operators.

In her new role, Smith will lead Europcar’s new business team, focusing on delivering comprehensive mobility solutions to corporates and fleet and leasing organisations. A central part of the strategy will be promoting the operational and performance benefits of Europcar’s fully connected vehicle fleet, alongside supporting businesses transitioning toward lower-emission mobility options.

Smith said the company’s investment in technology and electrification makes it well positioned to support evolving corporate mobility needs.

“Having worked in the fleet and mobility sector for nearly 30 years, I have been very aware of the Europcar offering and have seen how it has evolved to capitalise on connected vehicle technology, as well as take the lead in the electric vehicle rental space,” she said. “I am very much looking forward to working with new clients to identify ways in which we can help them improve operational efficiency as well as meet their net zero targets.”

Joining Smith in the new business team are Amanda Lawrence and Paul Brown, both of whom bring extensive experience in the fleet and rental sector, working with organisations to deliver tailored mobility solutions for a wide range of operational needs.

Paul McNeice, Commercial Director for the UK and Ireland at Europcar, said the appointments reflect the company’s commitment to accelerating growth in the corporate mobility market.

“Niamh, Amanda and Paul bring exactly the kind of deep-rooted fleet and corporate market experience that will help us accelerate our growth trajectory,” he said. “The demand for flexible, scalable mobility solutions among corporate clients continues to rise, and we are absolutely committed to being the partner of choice for businesses across the UK and Ireland.”

The appointments come as Europcar continues to expand its mobility offering for corporate customers and fleet operators. Alongside growing its range of plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles, the company is developing a broader portfolio of flexible mobility services, from short-term rental to longer-term solutions, all supported by its connected vehicle strategy.
