Element Fleet Management Corp., the world’s largest publicly traded pure-play automotive fleet manager, and its long-standing global partner, Arval, a major player in full-service vehicle leasing and mobility solutions, are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Element-Arval Global Alliance with the release of new findings from the 2025 Fleet and Mobility Barometer.

The Barometer, co-developed by Element and Arval and published annually by the Arval Mobility Observatory, highlights key industry trends shaping the future of fleet and mobility. This year’s report, which surveyed over 8,000 corporate fleet decision-makers across 28 countries, focuses on three central themes: environmental sustainability, cost efficiency, and employee satisfaction.

“Our global alliance uniquely offers our fleet and mobility customers the expertise and relationship management needed to deploy strategies across 55 different countries, ensuring solutions meet local needs and maintain very high-quality standards,” says Bart Beckers, Chief Commercial Officer of Arval.

“The Element-Arval Global Alliance purpose is to support and assist our international clients to successfully build and run their global fleet strategy.”

Among the report’s standout findings:

  • 85% of fleet and mobility stakeholders are prioritizing charging solutions, marking a strategic shift toward electrification as environmental goals gain urgency. Europe continues to lead this transition, especially in the passenger car segment.
  • Despite economic and geopolitical uncertainties, 91% of companies expect their fleet size to either remain stable or grow in the next three years, demonstrating resilience and confidence in the industry.
  • 45% of companies are now recognizing mobility policies as a critical tool in attracting and retaining talent, integrating fleet solutions with broader human resource strategies.

David Madrigal, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Element, emphasized the alliance’s unmatched global reach and impact.

“The insights captured within the annual Fleet and Mobility Barometer we’ve produced together represent one of the many ways we leverage our partnership, shared expertise, and extensive global presence to deliver comprehensive, scalable, and tailored solutions to meet our clients’ needs across the globe.”

Since its formation in 1995, the Element-Arval Global Alliance (EAGA) has become the longest-standing and most comprehensive partnership in the fleet and mobility industry. In 2023, the Alliance expanded into Asia with the addition of Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service (SMAS), bringing the total number of alliance members to eight. Collectively, the Alliance manages over 4.5 million vehicles across 55 countries.

The 2025 Barometer also highlights the growing role of telematics and connected technologies, which are increasingly being used to support safer and more sustainable driving practices, reduce accident rates, and improve overall fleet efficiency.

Element’s participation in the global Barometer—now in its second year—has broadened the scope of the insights to include North America and the Asia-Pacific region, reflecting the Alliance’s commitment to a truly global perspective.
