Ebbon Automotive has launched orca marketplace, a new inventory management solution designed to enable automotive businesses to manage vehicle sales and stock campaigns through a single platform.

The solution is the first planned phase of orca, Ebbon Automotive’s next-generation e-procurement platform and forthcoming replacement for its Leaselink system.

Orca marketplace has been developed to support a range of vehicle campaigns, including tactical sales, used vehicles, committed stock, procurement plans, and stock and production vehicles.

The end-to-end platform is aimed at dealers, manufacturers, leasing companies and leasing brokers, allowing users to manage multiple campaigns while providing greater visibility over vehicle inventory and sales activity.

Claire Hughes, Chief Commercial Officer at Ebbon Automotive, said:

“Orca marketplace provides full visibility and control at every stage of the vehicle campaign, with reduced inefficiencies, lower operational overheads and improved revenue performance across an entire portfolio.

“It allows multiple stock vehicles, both new and used, to be loaded and updated quickly and efficiently without re-keying, saving time and resources. A quick, intelligent search facility enables specific vehicles to be easily located.”

Ebbon Automotive said development of the solution had been accelerated following demand from leasing brokers, with six of the UK’s largest leasing brokers already signing letters of intent to use the platform.

Pilot schemes are also set to begin with a major UK vehicle funder and a leasing broker, while Ebbon said it was in advanced discussions with several vehicle manufacturers about potential applications for the technology.

Hughes said: “A stock management solution was always going to be developed within our new orca e-procurement platform but initial interest has been phenomenal.

“Along with major leasing brokers and vehicle funders, we are also in advanced talks with several leading manufacturers about the uses they can put orca marketplace to. There is tangible excitement in the industry about this new solution.”

Orca marketplace integrates with the wider orca platform but can also operate as a standalone solution. API technology allows the system to be integrated directly into users’ existing back-office systems.

Dashboards provide users with an overview of vehicle campaigns and inventory, while the platform is designed to reduce manual data entry and improve data accuracy when managing vehicles at scale.

Hughes added: “Orca marketplace simplifies the management and sale of vehicles in volume, enabling all users to manage multiple vehicle campaigns with greater transparency, thanks to the use of easy to follow and concise dashboards which provide a clear and decisive picture of the status quo.

“By consolidating vehicle trading into one intuitive platform, orca marketplace improves data accuracy and frees up internal teams to focus on higher-value activities, delivering a faster, more efficient, and more profitable way to trade.”
