The deal, completed on 29 April 2026, will see Driveway Vehicle Solutions absorb Agility Fleet’s managed portfolio, FCA registration and operational expertise. The acquisition adds more than 1,200 vehicles to its fleet, strengthening its position in the UK fleet management market. The move comes shortly after the business rebranded to Driveway Vehicle Solutions in March 2026, marking a renewed focus on growth, customer experience and long-term capability. Phil Wilbraham, Managing Director of Driveway Vehicle Solutions, said the acquisition represents a significant step forward for the company. “We are delighted to welcome Agility Fleet into the Driveway Vehicle Solutions business,” he said. “The team has built a fantastic operation with a strong reputation for service, and we are grateful for the opportunity to now build on that solid foundation.” Wilbraham added that the deal forms part of a broader plan to scale the business rapidly. “With the backing of Lithia UK, we are in a strong position to bring new businesses into the Driveway Vehicle Solutions family and continue to expand our capabilities.” Prior to the acquisition, Driveway Vehicle Solutions managed a fleet of around 12,000 vehicles. The addition of Agility Fleet strengthens its platform as it targets long-term growth to 20,000 vehicles. Over the past year, the business has reported strong performance, including 14% growth, full customer retention, and a significant improvement in its Trustpilot rating from 1.3 to 4.5. Neil Williamson, Operations President of Lithia UK, described the deal as a key milestone. “By bringing Agility Fleet into the business, we are increasing scale, strengthening our offering, and enhancing what we can deliver for customers,” he said. “Backed by Lithia UK’s purchasing power, supplier network and infrastructure, Driveway Vehicle Solutions is well placed to offer even greater value, flexibility and service.” Keith Townsend, Chairman of Agility Fleet, said the alignment between the two businesses made the transaction a natural fit. “Driveway Vehicle Solutions shares a very similar outlook to Agility when it comes to customer service, which made them the natural partner to take the business forward,” he said, reflecting on more than 20 years leading the company. Customers of both businesses are expected to experience a seamless transition, with no immediate changes to service. Over time, they are set to benefit from expanded capabilities, improved supplier access and integration with Lithia UK’s wider Evans Halshaw and Stratstone retail networks.
